Question
Some people are of the opinion that happiness/emotional health is important. Others think physical health is more important. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

A section of people believe that, being happy/healthy emotionally is significant; others are of the view that one's physical her is of more importance. This essay will discuss both sides and state my opinion.

Emotional health/happiness is vital in everyone's life because it builds the immune system of the individual. Scientifically, it is proven that people who are often seem happy with stable emotional States hardly fall sick and may never report sick at the hospital as their systems produce hormones that enable the body to fight any disease that finds its way into the body. Take for example, the people of Ghana who are known to be one of the happiest in the world hardly report sick, in exception of those in the capital city, Accra, who are known to be emotionally unstable and sad due to economic challenges.

On the other hand, physical health is also prioritised in everyone's life because without strength, most people cannot actively engaged in the work they do. Once an individual is physically weak, his or her productivity drops, leading to a possible low income. It is therefore necessary that everyone maintains an optimum level of physical health to enable him function efficiently. For example, no physically weak sportsman or spokeswoman can excel in any sporting discipline even when he or she is happy/emotionally healthy. This is a common phenomenon in most spheres of life.

To conclude, I am of the opinion that, each of view has its unique merit, but can be can be complemented by the opposing side to yield a better outcome in a person's life. It is therefore necessary that everyone maintains that optimum level of both physical and emotional wellness/happiness to make him or her efficient in life.
